Seed tomorrow with wise bravery today!
Yesterday, from the airport to my hotel in Surabaya, Indonesia I noticed 2 similar statues. Both had a large fish and a crocodile that seemed to form a circle. So, as I met my client, the meaning of the statue was one of my first inquiries.
Indra responded that there are several stories about how the city got its name and one of the most popular is the legend of a shark (sura) and a crocodile (baya) fighting each other to see who was the strongest and most powerful animal in the country. Before leaving the States, I did my research and knew the city was called “The City of Heroes.” Indra’s explanation helped me understand why:
After all, no matter what country we call home, wouldn’t you agree that anyone who rises above mediocrity to achieve something has to bravely face danger?
Yes, as a matter of fact, I do agree.
Life is calling . . . Today’s the day . . . Make this moment matter!!
Learn Lavishly. Live Significantly. Leave a Legacy.
