Seed tomorrow with wise gratitude today

 

Sunday, I celebrated 65 years on this glorious little planet. Now, I hope to have another 365-day journey around the sun. Wow, life is fast. Friday, Curt and experienced an ugly head on collision, so gratitude is forefront in our minds. We’re both fine. Beaten up and bruised; however, as shocked as the witnesses of the incident that we walked away alive. A reminder that life is not only fast – it’s also fragile.  May we all experience long lives, with a reminder that each day is a blessing.

Life is calling . . . Today’s the day . . . Make this moment matter!!

Seed tomorrow with wise stepping away today

 There are just certain things I wish were not true, and this is one of them:

To step toward your destiny, you have to step away from your security.    ~ Craig Groeschel

But, I like the comfort of the familiar and the coziness of life’s safe havens, don’t you? However, our desire and drive toward what we want must be greater than our comfort in the mediocre.  So, I often have to ask myself if it’s time to re-evaluate.  And, you?

Wednesday Wisdom

Seed tomorrow with wise pressure today

 I read this the other day, and completely understood:

Pressure is a privilege.

Out of love and kindness, I observe parents, who protect and attempt to make things easier for their children, which becomes harmful to their very existence. Life offers us challenges, struggles and heart breaks. Learning to cope and being resilient are essential life skills. Too much buffering can contribute to increased frustration, an inability to manage life’s curveballs and a decrease in the drive that keeps us moving toward our desired results. As C. Leslie Charles would say, we can “bless our stress” and let it fuel our actions.

Better late than never . . . Congratulations, Patriots!

Wednesday Wisdom

Seed tomorrow with wise limitless thinking today

 It’s easy for me to read just a few pages of any of Marianne Williamson’s books and have something to think about all day long.  Here’s one I pondered recently:

The key to abundance is meeting limited circumstances with unlimited thoughts.

Stories run through our heads all day long, and the inaccuracy of the ones we have about ourselves often constrain our options. And, all too often, those lies drive our days. In any given moment, we have the opportunity to expand the limits of our circumstances by expanding our thoughts. Today’s the day.
