Seed tomorrow with wise growth today
While in New Orleans, a client shared this thought with me and it’s been swirling in my head ever since:
When you begin to find love in people and places you haven’t found it before, it’s because you’ve grown.
As the words flowed from her mouth several thoughts scrambled at once. Of course, it’s lack of maturity that increases the likelihood of judgment, rejection and discord. As our desire to understand, to extend kindness, and to avoid leaping to less than kind-hearted assumptions increases we allow appreciation, compassion and empathy to surface.
Remember the Beatles song, “all you need is love?” Individually the maturing process is calling us. With that growth, eventually, we may collectively soften our approach to each other.
Life is calling . . . Today’s the day . . . Make this moment matter!!
