Seed tomorrow with wise creation today

Monday, Curt and I closed on our new home, transporting us to the west side of Michigan, nearer to our precious grandson, Sam. Immediately following the final signatures, the demo began and within hours the vision in our hearts began to take shape. With grand serendipity I read this during my very first break:

The whole difference between construction and creation is exactly this: that a thing constructed can only be loved after it is constructed; but a thing created is loved before it exists. ~ Charles Dickens

Challenges and struggles always lie ahead. However, energy, stamina and sustenance come from a steady focus on the creation.

Life is calling . . . Today’s the day . . . Make this moment matter!!

Seed tomorrow with a wise circling of loved ones today

A few days ago we said goodbye to Stephen Hawking, a brilliant theoretical physicist, described by many as one of the most profound minds to have ever walked the planet. In the middle of all his science he wrote:

It would not be much of a universe if it wasn’t home to the people you love.

Rest in peace, Stephen

PS: A few other thoughts to ponder by Mr. Hawking:

Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.

The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge.

I have noticed even people who claim everything is predestined, and that we can do nothing to change it, look before they cross the road.

Seed tomorrow with wise adventures today

If you’ve been reading these posts over the last decade, it must be clear that adventures call me, cultures mesmerize me and lands unknown appeal to all my senses. This week, a primary focus of my mind and heart’s intention surfaced as we sang these words in church:

Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander.

I’ve been blessed and privileged to meander my way through most continents on this glorious planet, discovering the essence of being human in diverse ways. However, the most profound wisdom has been acquired from the inward journey evoked by those excursions – and I’ve discovered that voyage as the one that matters most.
