Seed tomorrow with wise change today!
Like many of you, I experience a plethora of emotions as I watch Ukrainian President Zelensky and citizens, just like you and me, fighting for the democracy they’ve worked so hard to build after decades of corruption and abuse, and to keep and protect the land itself that they love.
Too often, way too often, I feel despair, with no optimism in their attempted victory. Then, I think of my relatives in the country who are experiencing the devastation first hand and breathe in Margaret Mead’s words to grab onto at least a shred of hope:
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.
There is no promise of triumph nor assurance of resolution; however, with enough support and assistance, I pray for victory against autocracy, a return to freedom for people desiring a better life, and the eventual success of a sustainable democracy for people fighting so hard to design it.
Life is calling . . . Today’s the day!
