Seed tomorrow with wise wonder today!
In the mid-west, autumn is a wondrous, vibrant season, full of constant, flamboyant changes in nature, and a “settling in” time offered by cooler weather and less daylight. That said, I find comfort in preparing for the solitude of winter, especially for the days we’ll soon be buried in snow. It’s easy to fall into a mundane mindset once the tints of the tree leaves bid goodbye and the world turns monotonously muted. However, as life mirrors nature, the cycles of each year can be awakening. As Socrates knew thousands of years ago:
Wonder is the beginning of wisdom.
We’re born full of wonder and awe, itching to make sense of everything we encounter. However, it eventually takes work and intention to keep curiosity and wonderment alive, even in life’s dull, dreary, mundane moments. Yet, exerting the effort means we enjoy the benefits of increased interest, texture, splendor, magnificence, and amazement of the sensations offered every single day.
Life is calling . . . Today’s the day!
Learn Lavishly. Live Significantly. Leave a Legacy.
